Why Study in Australia?

Published At: August 01, 2018

There are millions of students who travel every year to different parts of the world for education and work opportunities. Moving to another country and studying in a classroom with classmates from many different cultures is now very popular. And Australia is one of the most chosen countries for those mobile and ambitious young people.

There are a variety of reasons that you should consider studying in Australia. This country has become well-known for being friendly and for being a very accessible destination for international students. Considering its laid-back nature, excellent education system and high cost of living, Australia is home to international students. Australia has seven of the top 100 universities in the world. You have a lot of choices when you go there. In fact, there are over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions found across the entire country.

Cost of Living

Australia is an expensive country, a cup of coffee for $3.50 or even $4 and renting a typical 2-bedroom apartment will cost you $500 to $700 per week. But did you know that Australia has the highest minimum salaries in the world? The minimum hourly rate is now $18.29 per hour. This means that even when doing a casual, unskilled job you will earn quite good money. Some students (especially those with skills) earn considerably more.

As an international student, you are likely to start by having a casual job. Many students work in the hospitality sector (cafes, restaurants, hotels) and the salaries are usually enough to pay your basic living expenses, even if you are only working part time. You can work 20 hours per week while on a student visa (or unlimited hours during your course break).

Australia seems very expensive when you are not working. But once you start earning those good Australian salaries, it soon starts much less expensive. And if you are successful in getting a good career in Australia and you enjoy those great salaries that are easier to get in Australia than in many other countries today… Australia will no longer seem so expensive at all.

Remember this simple rule: you will spend more and earn more in Australia. The sooner you start working and earning money, the better.

Study now in Australia

Australia is a very safe country. Australian cities are dynamic and cosmopolitan, but they are also very safe. Students from all parts of the world enjoy the relaxed lifestyle and the way that personal security is much less of a concern than in many parts of the world.

Over 2.5 million people have gone to Australia as international students, and many of them have gone out to make a difference in the world.

Australia has it all. World class universities, an affordable and carefree lifestyle, and plenty of warm sunshine to go around. It’s no wonder that students from all over the world flock to Australia for study abroad every year, and you could easily be joining in on the fun.
